Hi, I’m Lauren. I’m an aerial coach, Pilates instructor, and personal trainer, who helps regular people do amazing things in the air and on the ground.

If you’re struggling with success in your aerial skills, or recovering from injury, know that you’re not alone. In fact, that’s how I got started doing the work that I do now!

I took my first aerial class over 12 years ago, and was immediately hooked! At the time, there wasn’t much support available for people like me in circus: a regular person, who wasn’t particularly strong and had zero idea how my body worked. My coach taught me tricks, but didn’t really know how to teach me how to use my body to support the work that I was trying to do! I was left to my own devices to try to figure out strategies for success both in learning new skills, and just generally getting stronger.

Fast forward to 2011, when I was accepted to NECCA’s year long Intensive training program. Now I had the advantage of working with coaches who had more understanding of the fundamental strength and body connections that are necessary to becoming a circus artist. And it didn’t take more than a couple of weeks for me to discover that I had none of it. It felt like nothing about my body worked the right way! I was devastated. And then I started getting injured. I managed to hold myself together and finish the program, but with the realization that being a full time performer wasn’t in the cards for me. But I was inspired to educate myself to become a better coach! When I returned home I was determined to start figuring out a better way to train, both for myself and for my students.

Since then, I’ve gotten my NASM personal trainer certification, my Pilates instructor certification through Vitality Pilates, and I’m a mobility specialist through Functional Range Conditioning. I’m dedicated to helping all my clients, both aerialists and ground lovers alike, get stronger, move better, and stay safe, all while learning how to take better care for their physical selves.

When I’m not working or training, I’m hanging out with my cats (yes, I am low key obsessed with them. It’s bad), gardening, knitting, or watching bad bad TV and eating snacks. Yup, super regular.
