Something about me is that I love to come up with weird exercises.
The thing about my weird exercises though, is that they’re not something to put in your workout. I don’t want you trying to bang out 10 reps or anything.
The point of these exercises is to help create an experience, to offer an opportunity to feel something you hadn’t felt before, or move in a way you hadn’t realized you could.
While strength is, of course, a hugely important part of learning new skills and working towards your goals, sometimes the thing that’s missing has nothing to do with how strong you are.
Sometimes we just have to feel and understand things in a new way! Build new synaptic and neurological connections and pathways so our bodies can start to understand a new movement idea.
And sometimes the best (or at least most interesting and fun) way to do that is to do some sort of weird exercise.
Here’s one that’s related to inverting. Or at least how we can use our arms to propel our bodies.
Check it out and let me know how it goes!
